Rent a Campervan in Bordeaux

Bordeaux is about two hours from Paris on the new TGV line. It's the ideal departure point for your getaway – whether for a weekend, a week or even longer. And in a campervan, your change of scenery will be even more memorable. The We-Van Bordeaux agency specializes in mini campervan rentals. We suggest you head out on Aquitaine roads and beyond in a rental Mercedes Marco-Polo…or try the top campervan model: a Volkswagen California. It has everything four people need for a unique adventure: two double beds (in the main compartment and under the pop-up roof), a folding table, a fully-equipped kitchen and storage spaces. It drives like a car so you can actually enjoy racking up the kilometres.

Set off from the We-Van agency in Bordeaux on the various Wine Routes through the Médoc, Graves, Côtes de Blaye and Saint-Emilion vineyards. To perfect your vineyard knowledge, head towards the Charente and Charente Maritime departments to sample their famous Cognac. You'll pass through the towns of Royan, Rochefort with its Royal Rope museum, and La Rochelle in your campervan. Then take it across the bridge to explore Ile d'Oléron and Ile de Ré. If you hear the south calling to you, point your van towards Arcachon Bay, Landes and Basque Country. You can even head further south to discover locations in Spain: Navarra, Cantabria, Asturias, Castile and more. If you would rather head east, Dordogne, Haute-Vienne and Corrèze will welcome you with open arms. During your campervan adventure, you'll savour countless regional specialities, such as Bordeaux cannelés, Arcachon Bay oysters, Basque Country squid, Périgord foie-gras and ceps, and Aquitaine caviar – for those who want to break the bank.

Travelling in a campervan is the best way to get up close and personal with your favourite sports. There's a reason the Volkswagen California's image is so closely linked to surfing! And for surfing, there's no better place than Biarritz, Hossegor and the great Landes beaches. If calm water is more your style, you'll love paddling a canoe or kayak on the Dordogne river. Anyone who loves golfing and horseriding will also be in heaven. Bordeaux's only golf association has thirteen courses spread throughout Bordeaux, Arcachon Bay, Médoc and the Dordogne.

Our team of professionals at the We-Van Bordeaux rental agency will be happy to help you plan your next campervan adventure.
